I'm trading Seattle rain for Colorado light for a few days this fall — a handful of mini sessions, classic posed shots mixed with the real moments in between.

Home for a few days…

Five years behind the camera — Division I athletes, weddings, concerts — and every trip back to Colorado still feels like the light hits differently here.

These sessions are a mix: I'll direct you into a few classic, posed shots you'll actually want printed, then let things loosen up and catch the real moments in between — the giggles, the piggyback rides, the kid who wanders off mid-photo.

Mini Sessions

$300 | 20 minutes

Expect a mix of directed, posed shots — the ones you'll want framed — plus candid moments I catch in between. I'll guide you through poses so no one's standing around unsure what to do, but I'm also watching for the real laughs and hugs that happen naturally along the way.

Families of 6 or fewer per session. Larger families can book two back-to-back slots.

01. A twenty-minute session with Laryssa where you don’t have to worry about posing or being in front of the camera, you show up in your favorite outfit, and she takes care of the rest!

02. Your favorite 10 edited, high-resolution digital images via online gallery

03. Additional edited images available for purchase beyond your 10

  • Your gallery is delivered digitally — 10 edited favorites ready to download. Need more than 10? Additional images are available for purchase.

  • If you have an outfit or a vision in mind, let’s go for it! If not, I recommend neutrals and soft, coordinated tones. These photograph beautifully against Colorado's fall backdrop. Solids and small textures over busy patterns.

  • Twenty minutes moves fast, so mini sessions are best for immediate families of 6 or fewer. Bigger crew? You're welcome to book two consecutive slots.

  • Colorado weather in early September can go either way. I'll reach out directly if we need to adjust timing or find cover nearby — and we'll reschedule if it's unsafe to shoot.

  • Relaxed and a little silly — I've got a niece I've photographed out of more fussy moments than I can count, so I always come with games and prompts to get real smiles, not posed ones. Even the reluctant family members (looking at you, husbands with crossed arms) usually end up laughing by the end.
